Affordable Housing Development

MACSA has built three senior housing units:

• Girasol: 1710 Alum Rock Ave., San Jose, CA 95116
  60 unit subsidized senior apartment complex.
• Jardines Paloma Blanca: 132 N. Jackson Ave., San Jose, CA 95116
  42 unit subsidized low-income apartment complex.
• Las Golondrinas: 77 Kentucky Place, San Jose, CA 95116
  55 unit complex.

All three housing complexes include a community room, TV/reading room, multi-conference room, hair salon, lounge, laundry room, library and computer lab. The average monthly rent is $250.00-$400.00 per unit.

Lastly, in September 2005 MACSA completed Las Mariposas, a 66 unit urban infill development targeted to provide affordable housing to first time home buyers; the new homeowners all fall within the 60% to 80% of area median income.
